Rob the Blonde Mechanic — Limited Warranty

At Rob the Blonde Mechanic, we stand behind the quality of our mobile repair and maintenance services. This Limited Warranty outlines what's covered, what's not, and how we protect your investment in reliable vehicle care. 

What Is Covered?

This Limited Warranty applies to maintenance and repair services performed by Rob the Blonde Mechanic or her team of certified mobile technicians. We warrant that:

  • All labor will be free from defects in workmanship. 
  • Any parts supplied by us will be free from manufacturer defects during the warranty period. 

This warranty covers both on-demand repairs and subscription-based services as long as they are scheduled and completed by our team.

Warranty Duration

 Unless otherwise noted, coverage is:

  • 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, for most labor and parts. 
  • Oil changes: 90 days or 3,000 miles. 
  • Parts with a longer manufacturer warranty will be honored for the duration of that warranty, while labor remains under our 12-month/12,000-mile policy. 

Warranty coverage does not reset after a warranty repair.

What We’ll Do

  If a defect in labor or parts arises during the warranty period, we will:

  1. Inspect the issue at no cost within our service area. 
  2. If warranted, we will: 
    • Correct the issue by re-performing the service, or 
    • Replace the defective part(s), or 
    • Refund the amount paid for the service (excluding discounts or promotions used). 

All warranty work must be performed by Rob the Blonde Mechanic. Having another party diagnose or attempt repairs before we inspect will void this warranty.

What’s Not Covered

 This warranty does not apply to:

  • Services not performed or scheduled through Rob the Blonde Mechanic. 
  • Parts provided by the customer. 
  • Repairs made by other mechanics or shops after our service. 
  • Commercial-use vehicles (unless specifically agreed upon). 
  • Damage due to misuse, neglect, accidents, poor maintenance, or environmental conditions. 
  • Pre-existing issues not disclosed before the service. 
  • Additional issues discovered during repair that were not part of the original service request. 
  • Diagnostic-only services or vehicle inspections. 
  • Effects of delayed or inconsistent maintenance (e.g., transmission damage following first fluid change after 100,000 miles). 
  • Adjustments of existing parts unless specified in the original repair order.

When the Warranty is Void

  •   Parts were not supplied by us. 
  • Customer directed us to use parts or fluids against manufacturer recommendations. 
  • The vehicle was serviced or diagnosed by someone else without prior approval. 
  • The vehicle is outside of our mobile service area during the warranty claim.

Service Call Charges

  •  If a customer requests warranty service and no defect in materials or labor is found, a minimum 1-hour labor charge may apply. Any unrelated repairs requested during a warranty visit will be billed at regular rates.

We reserve the right to determine whether a specific issue qualifies for warranty coverage. For any concerns not addressed above, please reach out to our support team directly.

After Proper enrollment, a Registered Vehicle is entitled to the following benefits:

  • Mobile Onsite Oil Changes: Performed according to manufacturer-recommended maintenance intervals and current vehicle mileage. 
  • Brake Pad Installation: (Labor Only) Front and/or rear axle. Parts not included. 
  • Battery Installation: (Labor Only) One (1) mobile onsite battery installation per year. Battery must be purchased separately. 
  • Tire Rotation: Based on maintenance guidelines and vehicle mileage. Tires are rotated front to back.  Tires are rotated front to back and must have at least 5/32” tread depth. A minimum tread difference of 2/32” between front and rear is required. Rim size must not exceed 22 inches. 
  • Brake Service:  Includes brake fluid flush, cleaning, and adjustment per vehicle maintenance schedule and mileage. 
  • Seasonal Handwash & Vacuum: Exterior hand wash (no harsh brushes or abrasive tools)
    Interior vacuuming (floors and seats only) This is a basic cleaning- it does not include waxing, paint correction, or detailing. We do not remove personal items or trash from the vehicle. This service is only available when booked alongside a scheduled repair or maintenance appointment. We do not provide car washes during inclement weather (including rain, lightning, storms, or freezing temperatures) for safety and quality reasons.
  •  10% off: Receive 10% off standard Rob the Blonde Mechanic (RTBM) labor rates for all maintenance and repairs. 
  • Vehicle Inspection: Comprehensive inspection performed according to your vehicle’s service intervals and mileage. 
  • Battery Service:  Includes surface cleaning, terminal maintenance, protective coating application, and testing. 
  • Fuel Concierge Service: Fuel delivery available during scheduled service. Up to 15 gallons, billed at current regional market rates.
  • Air Filter Replacement:  Includes one (1) engine air filter and one (1) cabin air filter replacement per year. 
  • Windshield Wiper Replacement: Front windshield wiper blades only. One (1) set per year if torn or worn 
  • Diagnostic Service: Unlimited diagnostic scans for check engine and dashboard warning lights. Note: Does not include in-depth electrical diagnostics.
